Frequently Asked Questions Will you accept my insurance? Yes, we will accept any insurance but that does not mean we participate. Participating with a particular insurance company means that we have an agreement to accept their allowed amount for a particular service. Accepting any insurance means that we will bill your insurance company for you but we do not have any formal agreement with them and you are responsible for any amount the insurance company does not pay. Who do I call if I have a question about my bill? You can call anyone in the Business Office; Gail at 231-882-1030, Judy at 231-882-1026, Megan at 231-882-1067, Jennifer at 231-992-1028 or Joyce at 231-882-1027 between 7:30 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. Our Business Office handles all billing issues for all of our four clinics. How do I get a prescription refilled? You can call any of the four offices and request a refill or you may sign up for "My Health Portfolio" and request a refill online (see home page for more information). The request is then forwarded to your provider for approval or rejection. If it is approved, the provider will then fax it to your pharmacy. If it is rejected, the nurse or registration staff will contact you or the provider will send you an email if you requested the refill online. Refill requests are normally processed by the next business day. (Requests made on Friday will not be reviewed until Monday.) Please call or request on line at least 48 hours prior to running out of your medication. What if I need to see a doctor and your office is closed? If you feel that it is an emergency, go directly to the nearest Emergency Room or call 911. For urgent needs, we have a physician on call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Call Paul Oliver Memorial Hospital at 231-352-9621 and they will notify the physician on call. Of note, the physician on call will NOT refill medications. These need to be done by your provider during regular office hours. |
